Before a foundation is designed or concrete is poured, the soil beneath it needs to be evaluated.  We use a dual-mass dynamic cone penetrometer to assess subsurface soil strength and consistency at proposed foundation locations. Hammer testing ideifies potentially weak concrete areas per ASTM C805. This is usedul as a screening tool but does not replace core testing. We provide structural and foundation design services, including field soil evaluation for foundation projects.  NC • SC • VA • TN
